The Center for Research in Energy and Infrastructure at PUC Rio University – NUPEI – was created by the IAG Business School to be a center of excellence in research and education in the area of Energy and Infrastructure in Brazil. Our objectives include the development of research projects, graduate education programs, consulting and training in finance with an emphasis on decision making in energy projects and infrastructure under conditions of risk and uncertainty. These initiatives aim to contribute to the sustainable development of society and business, and are targeted at graduate students, private and public firms, government institutes and regulatory agencies. NUPEI researchers are also involved in R&D projects, expert consulting related to research and publication of academic articles and books.
NUPEI receives scholarships and financial support from various funding agencies to aid in its research initiatives and academic production.
